as one reaches a certain age and u attend ur jc/sec sch/pri sch class gatherings, u realized that the topics that you all talk about changes at different stages of time...when we freshly grad from uni and the girls just started out university life and the guys just went into NS, whenever there's class gatherings, the guys will just talk abt army and the girls, well....we can tok abt anything under the sun. then 2 yrs later when the guys r abt to enter uni the topic will change to the guys being interested in how's uni life and keep asking the girls a lot of qns like "izzit gg to be stressful?" dat kinda stuff. Then when the girls are abt to graduate (like me now and the rest of my jc class girls where most of them in the honors yr), topics that circulate around the dining table will be "When are you getting married?", "Are you attached?" (this is a common qn but esp at this age and some more cos we seldom see each other we will ask to update everyone), then u talk abt marriage and stuff...yeah it's still early but dat's what pple at our stage asks....
so today we had our jc class gathering. had steamboat dinner and after a while Eunice suddenly asked "Guess who in our class will get married first." Then we all guess it's tyan cos she had ben with her bf for 2 yrs alr or if not then it's yusri and his gf of 10 mths...then someone suggested Joe Ann can find a datuk cos she's a Msian and Jeremy cracked a lot of jokes on it. Then the guys asking the girls one by one if they're attached. So one by one said no no no until it reaches my turn and i said yes...wha lao....i still can hear the shrills in the background and all attention is now turned towards me...damn pai seh can....
then after dinner we had nth to do we went to the playground....yeah imagine 23 yr-olds gg to the playground, sitting on the swings and Jimmy playing his guitar and the trio (Fabian, Jerome and Yusri) singing to the tunes...it's a nostalgic feeling...then i was asking Clarissa if 10 yrs down the road will we still have gatherings like we do now...it's a yes...then on the train i ask Yusri the same qn then he said "yes, but with more members..." haha....
i guess this is life....=)
our next gathering will be our class birthday...30/03 (30th March)
