Took the HSR (Highspeed Rail) from Taichung to Zuoying station (in Kaoshiung) and it's going to be another 1.5-2hrs drive from Kaoshiung to Kenting.
At Taichung Highspeed Rail:

Just look at the amount of luggage when it's just Day 5.

By the time we reached Kenting, it's already about 7pm. We passed by Heng Chun (恒春) for dinner. This place is where the film 海角7号 is filmed. It's a very very small town and it's famous for their Duck Vermicilli (鸭肉冬粉) here.

Olden days letterbox?

鸭肉冬粉。So-so only. Think this shop is not the most famous but the rest of the shops were already close and the town is very quiet by the time we reached.
Next stop of sight-seeing is 出火! Yes the place is really called 出火观景区.
The name is so derived because there's natural gas underneath the ground and the gas is escaping from the holes/cracks in the ground. Then it was rumored that one fine day a passer-by dunno how come suddenly ignite something and causes a pit of fire. The fire is always there and will not go off.
Our cabbie told us there used to be more pits of fire but due to earthquakes some of the cracks in the ground had been sealed up and hence the fire went off.
Although it is stated clearly on the signboard that no BBQ-ing is allowed, apparently the locals dun care..haha!

Popcorns. Can u see?
Us playing with the angles!

Children playing with sparkles using the natural fire to light.

Next stop will be to our 民宿!!! Our minsu is called 恋海126. Owner Jenny and her husband are very nice and friendly! I think all the minsu owners in Taiwan are friendly. Lol! Our minsu is right at the end of the whole stretch of minsu(s) that's facing the sea.
We were given the room at the 3rd floor. 3rd floor again! Already had nightmare of the 3rd floor at Cingjing!
But it's worth climbing the stair over here for our room is so cosy and it's facing the sea!

The 'lobby'.

After settling down our stuff, we went to Kenting Nightmarket! It's within walking distance from our minsu.
The nightmarket over here sells a lot of beach wear, handicraft accessories and photoframes. The food here is nice!
Some pubs along the street:

Accessories!

First food: Baked Potato with a Generous Serving of Nacho cheese and diced hotdog! This is the nicest we've ever tasted.

Jumbo Hotdog!

The hotdog is actually the normal size. It's covered by bread! Fried till crispy!

Some nice restaurant..Seems ex too...

一口蟹! a tat too salty!

Some nice minsu that we passed by along the nightmarket.

Fried Milk! I dun dare to try though cos i feel that it'll be too milky for me

Dorayaki!

Bubble Tea again!
Finally we went back to the minsu to rest. Fortunately, we don't have to wake up early tomorrow!
