Code: Edge

Went to watch Code:Edge Dance Competition last sat at Zouk. It happened to be Elaine's bdae too =) the whole competition was really fantastic~ a real eye-opener for amatuer dancers like us. lol! The battles between the soloists is damn 精彩! Watching ur instructors compete and dance on stage is also very interesting. U will feel like telling the person beside you "hey dat's my instructor!" and feel a sense of pride. heehee...I'm so so so so so so so glad i went for this event. It makes all of us feel inspired to dance and love dance even more. sometimes teachers can jus be so inspiring. yes! "Keep dancing!" - dat's the phrase whh was repeated by both the MC and Zee dat night =) "Force urself to learn faster," was said by Bryan. Jus realized i've been in jazz for the 4th sem and i cant do my chanais well, not even daring to say mastering a 2-rounds pirouette. And i thought the hand wave is the most basic technique in hip hop. We've been learning hip hop since the last hol? but we still cannot do it. I can say dat during those times in gym i was among one of the fastest to pick up a new skill and i will then think it's cos i have the potential to be a gymnast. but i think i became a bit complacent later on as my team mates they can even do it better than me later on. so now i began to ask myself, do i have the potential to dance? i think for any kind of sport, be it tennis, swimming, gymnastics, or even dance, no matter how much passion u have for it, it will always be easier to train if u have the inherent potential in you. it's like intelligence. Some pple no matter how hard they study they still dun do as well as someone who does not study as hard but is more intelligent and thus still able to do v well in exams. hmm...do u agree?
